night photography
I love night photography !. The lights, the dark areas, everything !. I prefer neighborhoods and other not as well lit places(trying to stay away from public buildings, malls etc) but with enough light to be able to get the shot. As in all things, night photography takes having the right eq, knowing how to use it and a lot of practice. Without a sturdy tripod(or solid base of some sort) and a remote shutter release, either wireless or cable(using the self timer will work too), good night photography isn't possible. You simply can't handhold the camera still for 2 secs or more(and expect tack sharp pictures) and most night shots are between 5 and 30 secs long. To illuminate really dark areas, much longer times are required. Places in well lit areas(shopping areas, malls) u may be able to hand hold.
